What makes Artillery Tea different from grocery-store tea?
It comes down to three things: better flavor, cleaner sachets, and a bigger purpose.
We use premium whole-leaf tea instead of the finely broken tea commonly found in mass-produced tea bags. Our plant-based pyramid sachets give those leaves plenty of room to expand and deliver a full-flavored cup without petroleum-based microplastics, glue, staples, or bleach.
And every purchase helps us give back to organizations supporting veterans and first responders.
What are your tea sachets made out of?
Our tea sachets are made from Soilon®, a plant-based material derived from renewable resources like sugarcane and corn starch—not petroleum-based plastic.
They're designed to give whole tea leaves plenty of room to expand while they steep, without the conventional plastics, glue, staples, or bleach found in many traditional tea bags.
The sachets are sealed using ultrasonic technology rather than glue, helping us deliver what matters most: premium whole-leaf tea in a cleaner tea bag without microplastics.
Are your teas organic?
We source organic ingredients whenever possible, and currently the vast majority of our blends are made entirely with organic ingredients.
Artillery Tea Co. is not USDA Certified Organic, so we don't label our products as certified organic. Two of our blends contain ingredients that are not currently available to us in an organic form that meets our quality and sourcing standards.

what are the recommended brewing instructions?
For the best flavor—and two strong cups from each sachet—we recommend:
- Black Tea: 205–212°F — steep 2 minutes the first time, then 4–5 minutes for the second cup.
- Green Tea: 175–180°F — steep 1–2 minutes the first time, then 2–3 minutes for the second cup.
- Herbal Tea: 200°F — steep 3–4 minutes the first time, then 5–6 minutes for the second cup.
Don’t toss your sachet after the first cup! Our whole-leaf teas can be steeped again—just give the second steep a little more time to extract plenty of flavor.
How is it that you can brew 2 cups from 1 sachet?
Unlike many conventional tea bags that use finely broken tea leaves or tea dust, we use premium whole-leaf tea. Our pyramid sachets give those leaves plenty of room to expand and release their flavor as they steep.
That means there’s still plenty of flavor left for a second cup. Simply steep the same sachet again for a little longer using our recommended second-steep brewing times.
Most of our teas will give you two strong cups from one sachet. You can even try a third steep if you'd like—just expect a lighter cup.
Where is your tea grown?
We source our tea and botanicals from trusted growers around the world, while using USA-grown ingredients whenever possible.
Our black and green teas come from established tea-growing regions around the world, including India and China. Other herbs and botanicals are sourced from countries including the USA, Chile, Turkey, Egypt, Australia, Malaysia, and South Africa.
We’re especially proud to source our yaupon from a small family-run farm in Texas. Yaupon is the only caffeinated plant native to the United States and is featured in our MAGA Mint blend.
As we grow, we’re continually looking for opportunities to source more of our ingredients from American growers.
